So... you wanna know where TaZorro came from? Here's the story... In my late teens, I chose the TaZmanian Devil as my favorite character and my name is Zorita.. which when I was in middle and high school, people would often say upon meeting me "Zorita? as in Zorro". No I don't understand the connection, but the comment was made enough times that it stuck in my mind. So TaZ + Zorro was born... ..but before that fateful day, the framework was already laid for greatness to walk the universe!!!

The Story of me! The night : August 7, 1977 The place : The maternity ward of The Hospital of the Univ. of Penn (PHILLY BABY!) The event : The birth of Zorita. The cutest child ever to be born on this earth ( and I am not biased! ), with a head full of curly black hair, and a complexion that I have been trying to tan ever since! {insert pict of me and mom} Named after my maternal grandmother - Zorita... My childhood exists now only as a blur - I have memories of being split in two by my 'higher middle class' paternal side of the family and the 'higher lower class' of the maternal side of my family. So part of the time I was a princess and the other part I was a bay-bay kid. Let's just say it was confusing, as both sides had VERY different expectations. [Insert princess & bay-bay picts] I lived partially with my paternal grandparents and partially with my mother, step-pop, and brothers. My winning personality, consistant smile and optimistic outlook come straight from my mother. My grandparents were the cause of me turning out very 'well rounded. I was consistantly exposed to things like museums and musicals. My grandmother took me to Tea at the age that most were at Chuckie Cheeses (although don't get me wrong - I lived for Chuckie also!) School: First I went to elementary school at Mitchell Elementary in SW Philly (Kingsessen' in da house!) for kindergarten. Then I went to Patterson ELementary (Southwest Philly) for 1st - 4th grades. I then transferred to Pickett Middle in Germantown for 5th grade, but halfway through the year transferred back to Patterson. 6th grade was spent at Hamilton Middle in West Philly, 7th and 8th at Pickett, and High School @ Central 254 BABEEEEEE!!! Off to college: I went to Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD on a full honor's scholarship. I went in with the intent to study my first love, reading and writing (i.e. English), but "admimistrative errors" placed me in the wrong major (T.V. Production). That wasn't a problem though, I'd just write for T.V., right? After 2 years, I accepted an internship at Walt Disney World :) I stayed there for a semester, found out that my scholarshipwas taken from me because of another "administrative error" ( I got that fixed, but was too pissed off with Morgan to continue at that point. I would have had to pay for at least one semester out of pocket as an out-of-state student. I didn't have that kind of loot!). I transferred to Temple University and changed my major to my second love, computer science. I quickly realized that my lack of Math courses at Morgan placed me as a freshman in the comp. sci major course schedule. 2 years later, after falling in love and considering classes, homework, and tests optional, I realized I wasn't graduating anytime soon. I would have needed 3 more years for comp. sci, and 1 year if I went with and English degree. Guess which one I chose? So Summer 2002, I finally graduated from Temple University with a degree in English. Post College: NO WORK ANYWHERE. I'M GONNA LIVE ON THE STREET EATING OUT OF A GARBAGE CAN FOREVER!!! So, I was unemployed for all of 1 month, but it felt like YEARS!!! Then I held down 1, 2, then 3 jobs till I was hired by Synygy where my two best friends from High School (Anwar and Melanie) worked :)
